whine

So, there’s drama with #4. I took him back to the Dr today where he was prescribed some fancy pants old timey stuff that had to be compounded at this one pharmacy in town. he’s now sleeping on the couch, If he isn’t better by 2 he’s going to be admitted to the hospital.

All this on 3 hours sleep each night since Tuesday. I’m tired and Not In The Mood, so don’t mess with me, ok.

Only, no one told the washing machine that, and I ran a load, because #4 has had some issues resulting in the need to do laundry, and the machine, she ruptured and leaked enough water that it’s seeping up through the floor in 3 rooms. I don’t need this today. I’m drying to towels so I can keep sopping but really. I don’t need this today. Neither do the floors. So rude.

Plus, the neighbor came over and, in the kindest possible way, complained about the noise the dogs are making, picking on the puppy and all. I promised to do what I could. The picker has been muzzled and the pickee seperated from the picker. he said it’s not a problem when I’m home but when I’m gone it’s nonstop. how embarrassing. How annoying for him. I know how I’d feel if my neighbor’s dogs were doing that. David’s no help. He’s either asleep of has his headphones in and doesn’t hear a thing. I want to take that one dog who’s doing it all and give her to the pound, She’s pissing me off that much right now.

and my floor is sopping wet and leaking through the joints.

and I’ve had precious little sleep and feeling like throwing myself down and pitching a hissy fit. Or a conniption. Whichever’s going to get things fixed. And Himself with a broken arm and can’t fix the washing machine. Good thing I got the laundry done yesterday.

Terry’s arm is still broken, he’s got all his stuff at work to deal with and is doing it gracefully, because that’s the kind of guy he is. I am trying as hard as I can (on sleep deprivation) to handle this mess at home without harassing him and making him feel pulled in 3 directions, but I don’t DO well on little sleep. This morning as I was helping him get ready for work I kind of lost it, and started crying. He doesn’t need that right now. He probably feels like I do, like laying on the (wet, leaking) floor and squalling. He is, however, A Man of the First Order, and is of the Suck It Up and Deal With It school of thought. I like that about it but geez.

Thank you for listening to my whine and being sympathetic. I will return to the regularly scheduled programming just as soon as I can. Good cheer will return. I know this, but the light at the end of the tunnel is around the bend at the moment and I’m really feeling a whine coming on.

You are having a VERY rough week. Tell #2 to get his butt out of the chair and help. Tell him I said so. If he must be paid to be helpful to his own family, pay him, but he. can. do. laundry.
He. can. muzzle. dogs. on. a. schedule.
He. can. make/buy. everyone. lunch/pizza delivery.
You need 2 days to focus on #4’s and SD’s medical issues. And NO, just because #3 can’t be coerced into being a responsible part of his own family, doesn’t remove #2’s responsibility to get helpful.
Frankly, #2 should also get on the phone with #1 and tell him to lend a hand, too, since you lend a hand to #1 frequently.
The 2 Really Good Reasons aside (1.It’s the Right Thing to Do and 2.It’s Family), these things should happen because you treat #1 and #2 like adult friends- being there for them when they are ill, etc, etc, etc. So 3.they should be good friends and return the favor.
Don’t make me get out my can of whupass.

Yes ma’am. I’m at the point of giving him my Amex and sending him to the grocery store. Whatever. I’m just ready for the mess to be over, and to get some sleep. If #4 goes to the hospital it will be tomorrow or later before I can get some.

Sigh.

I know how you feel – wanting to pitch a hissy fit, stomp feet, hold breath, whatever it takes to “fix” it already, GEEZE!

I think another vacation is in order…the kind of vacation where you don’t go anywhere, but you don’t DO anything either.

That’s not ahappening anytime soon. Too much to take care of between CJ moving out, Terry’s arm, the damned possessed washing machine (and subsequent floors. oy)and #4. It’s Suck It Up, Girly time.

If I may pitch in: hire someone to look at the washing machine. Just pay some money and have that one thing taken care of. : )

Hire someone else to come and dry your floors.

Sometimes, you just need to hire someone. Put it on the Credit Card, and worry about it later.
