Because it really is personal…

Because the topic isn’t exhausted yet

Well, it looks like TS Hanna is going to pretty much miss us. We may get some rain, but the bulk of the excitement will be up the coast at Myrtle Beach.

Ike, is way out there, looking really, really hairy. Like, Cat 4, with 145 mph sustained winds and stuff. Forecast says we won’t be seeing him here, but he’s headed straight for the Bahamas and potentially Miami. Superbee, if you need a place to stay, we’ve got a small and comfortable guest room. Miami doesn’t need a repeat of Andrew. (notice how artfully I can state the obvious)

So, I’m guessing we dodged the Hannah bullet, and now I am Ready For What Comes. There’s jugs and jugs of ice in the freezer, 4 days worth of bottled water in the trunk of Carmina. (Are you familiar with the concept of “a bag of holding”? Carmina has The Trunk of Holding.)

We’ll still probably see rain for the weekend. Earlier this week the schools were making noises about being closed on Friday, but last night they called and said ‘false alarm’. They did move the football game to tonight, tho. Darn, just when I was planning to start doing windsprints on the track they go and move the ball game. I guess I’ll sit home and eat heavily buttered popcorn instead.

My biggest and strongest hope is that SD won’t have to work all weekend, and can finish up the hutch so I can put in it place and load it with my pretty containers and baskets.
