Little Guy's graduation is next week. My ex-FIL has been getting rather weird and senile. My ex will barely speak with him any more. My ex-MIL and her current hubby (hell, they've been married for 25 years) are coming as well. Nutty Ex-FIL says he won't have a problem unless he has to sit near his ex-wife. Ex-hubby doesn't want anything to do with his dad. Well, WTF? Am I supposed to banish them all to seperate corners of the venue? All I can do is remind them that this is Little Guy's day. GRRRRRRRRRR Oh God, Oh God, I AM SO WITH YOU!! Little Guy’s graduation is next week.

I go OUT of my way to make sure my mother and mother-in-law are never in the same room at the same time. And on the occasion that I can't avoid it? Just as your son suggested: divide and conquer...and marinate myself with rum or homemade wine. That's the only way to survive. As my children get older and will eventually marry etc., I wonder how they will 'deal with' me and their mothers-in-law. Something to look forward to, I guess. :) Too funny. After all, it's his family problem, too, and he'll face similar sticky situations someday (very soon) in the Corporate World. Why not give him a chance to put his fine mind to work on the situation?
