Because it really is personal…

It’s a SWING THING

I think I may be coming into what’s called “hypomania”. It’s a mild form of mania that happens in some of us bipolars. Instead of going really wack manic, we just get really, really, really productive.

Thing is- it FEELS FANTASTIC. yes it does.

Yet it’s difficult to keep it from spilling over into everyone elses lives. I mean, just because *I* feeling like shredding 12 pine trees by hand to make custom mulch, doesn’t mean the 9 yr old should have to, right?

It feels…effervescent. Like my blood is a fresh bottle of club soda, just waiting for vodka and pomegranate juice.

I like it like this. I take advantage of it, make the most of it, use it up quickly before all the bubbles go out.

The trick is to use it before it goes…you know…Critical Mass, and turns into mania with all the accompanying mental deviancies. Mania, in my life, is not a pretty thing. It’s not even romantic, or mercurial. It has fangs and hair on it’s face and sounds like an Ozzy Osborne record played backwards.

I have a bottle of pills for just such a purpose, but right now I am totally riding this wave. My house is clean, I have a slew of projects lined up.

I have an appointment mid-May with the Good Dr. H. I’m wondering if I’ll need to see him sooner. I’m also wondering am I really hypomanic or is it just Spring Fever?

For now, today, I’m going to swirl through the day sprinkling fairy dust and wit, cheering up old people and doing creative sorts of things.

Oh! Get this! #2 comes home last night and says “Oh, Mom, by the way, I’m an honors graduate.”
Wheee! Taking 3 AP courses and still made honors! I’m so proud.

I’ll take you to Yankee Candle if you’ll clean my house!

Congratulations #3 !!

I wouldn’t mind just a trickle of mania if it could help me achieve some stuff around the place. Maybe you could siphon some off and send it round to those of us who could use it.. and that way you might not end up with the full Monty of it… drug free… it’s a win-win don’t you think?!

If I could bottle it I’d be a zillionaire.
