So much to do. There’s a carnation pink dress to be made, and a large stack of photographs dating as far back as the 1850’s (a tin-type of my great-great-great grandmother and her 5 children including my great-great grandfather). I found some more photos of Walter, as well. Bathrooms to be cleaned, floors to be mopped, an acre of yard to mow, meals to cook, laundry to wash, the list goes on.
But you know what? I like it like that. I get bored easily so when there’s a stack of stuff to do I feel fulfilled and happy.
And on top of that…my roses are blooming! Yes! Yellow and apricot and pale pink and raspberry red! Crimson, cream, and lovely ivory edged in pink. Happiness to Rootietoot is a fragrant bouquet of home-grown roses.
Zephirine Drouhine and something I found growing wild and transplanted. The little white flowers are roquet from the lettuce greens bed.
.
Hopefully, I’ll be home for a while and can return to normalcy. Until then, Sweet Daddio is knocking down 2 birds with one stone: Making me happy because I’m not feeling much like cooking supper, and satisfying his own desire (which I share, to be honest) for a platter of sushi. Yum
