I’ve always considered STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE very postmodern, since it’s sort of a continuation of the Scarlett persona into the 20th century. And VL really was as strong as Scarlett in her youth, but as unstable as Blanche in middle age.
Her life was just so sad.
